Since the company’s creation in 1973 Patersons Quarries have lived by their company ethos: “To provide a quality product at a competitive price, combined with reliable service and friendly knowledgeable staff.” Hey, that sounds familiar! It’s fitting then that Become was more than happy to provide a great new website that was worthy of Patersons. It had to be stylish, clean, professional and follow the company’s branding guidelines, in the end this is exactly what we delivered to the client. Patersons can now showcase their broad range of expertise and the excellent photography of the company’s activities captured by their Managing Director – Tom Paterson.
As always, accessibility is key to any modern presence on the web and Become made sure that Patersons’ new site was no different with the new site adhering to the W3C accessibility guidelines. Patersons also sports a responsive design ensuring that the site is also usable on most devices whether they be desktop, tablets or handheld.
Owing to the fact that Patersons Quarries is one of Scotland’s largest and most successful businesses today Patersons have a reasonably large amount to say about what they do. Due to the larger number of pages the navigation needed to be presented and structured in a manner that was ordered, intuitive and usable by most – demanding more thought than your usual navigation. This was achieved by the pulldown functionality that is an effective yet simple way to deal with a large amount of navigation points.
Patersons have also made use of our Ignite CMS as a document repository full of product information and other data Patersons’ customers expect to see.
