Established by Graham Tiso in 1961, Tiso has grown to become the largest retailer of outdoor equipment in Scotland. It’s 13 outlets now stretch into England and Northern Ireland. Our task was design a clean, easy to use e-commerce website that fitted the Tiso brand and appealed to their web-savvy audience.
Tech spec
The main focus of the site is the online shop which is powered by activecommerce. activecommerce provides comprehensive features and functionality to the Tiso team and their customers alike. Many new features have been added to the site to ensure consistency with in-store offers and services.
In addition to the shop, the site also boasts community-building features such as the Tiso blog, news, events, clinics, lectures and competitions as well as weather and avalanche reports.
Since it’s launch in 2005, Tiso.com has enjoyed progressive growth in sales, visitors and conversions.
Beyond the web
Our work with Tiso doesn't just stop at the website. We've integrated solutions to help them sell through partner sites such as Google Base and Amazon.com. We've also integrated affiliate partnerships, third-party tracking applications and assisted with their customer data management.
